Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: JUNE 1, 2026

The Sky Valley Heritage Hunt is committed to creating an experience that is welcoming and accessible to as many participants as possible. We strive to make both our website and Heritage Hunt activities accessible to individuals with disabilities and varying accessibility needs.

Website Accessibility

We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of this website. Our goal is to follow generally accepted accessibility best practices and make content available to the widest possible audience.

Efforts may include:

  • Clear navigation and page structure

  • Readable fonts and color contrast

  • Alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate

  • Mobile-friendly design

  • Compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies

Because technology and accessibility standards continue to evolve, some portions of the website may not yet provide the ideal experience for every user.

Hunt Location Accessibility

The Heritage Hunt includes a variety of locations throughout the Sky Valley region. Because participating locations vary in age, ownership, terrain, and physical characteristics, accessibility may differ from stop to stop.

Some locations may include:

  • Uneven terrain

  • Gravel pathways

  • Historic buildings

  • Limited parking

  • Stairs

  • Outdoor environments

Whenever possible, accessibility information will be provided for individual stops. Participants are encouraged to review location details before visiting.

Alternative Participation Assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier while using the website or participating in the Heritage Hunt, we encourage you to contact us.

We will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Provide information in an alternative format

  • Assist with participation questions

  • Address website accessibility concerns

  • Identify accessible alternatives when available

Feedback

We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility of the Sky Valley Heritage Hunt website and participant experience.

If you experience difficulty accessing any content or location information, please contact us:

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As the Heritage Hunt grows, we will continue working to improve accessibility and participant experience whenever practical and feasible.

OUR SPONSORS

The Sky Valley Heritage Hunt is made possible in part through funding provided by the Snohomish County Hotel-Motel Tax Fund and through the support of our sponsors, community partners, historical organizations, volunteers, and local advocates. Together, they help preserve, celebrate, and share the stories of the Sky Valley. Thank you for helping keep our history alive for future generations.
